Does anyone use the in office lipid tests? Are they cost effective and do you feel the results are accurate?
Not cost effective IMO. I can get a lipid panel with the rest of someone's labs for $2.35. It would take a long time to make up for the expense of a machine. Plus, I'm more interested in most people's hga1c than lipids so that would be two POC testing. But I can imagine for certain practices it could make sense. @MBKeller
I had a Piccolo machine for awhile (actually it's for sale if anybody wants it), but found I could simply get lipids, CMP cheaper elsewhere
